(UK) LONGHORN 45 rpm Singles
1962

This is an hitherto unpublished list compiled by Paul Pelletier in the 1980s. Longhorn was a small independent "Country & Western" label available by mail-order from an address in Brackley, Northants (north of London). It took its name and logo from the American source of its first release, the Longhorn label of Dallas, Texas. A biographical sheet included with the first single at the beginning of August, 1962, indicates that the release was "legal", but subsequent issues have the whiff of "pirate" about them. The far right-hand column shows the original American source.
0006: The Buck Owens sides were recorded in Hollywood during 1953 and first appeared on separate Pep singles - Pep was a small label based in Pico Rivera, near Los Angeles.
There is some extra information hiding somewhere in the RIS archive, which will be added when found. Any additional information is welcome.
